Artist Notes: Horses are one of my more favorite animals to paint. Their velvety coat exhibits beautiful muscle definition and superficial veins, providing shadows and highlights throughout the anatomy. When the light shines through the trees, these contrasts become even more dramatic and the full attention is on her!
