A Floral Serenade [ORIGINAL]
"A Floral Serenade" is an acrylic painting on 18x24 inch stretched canvas.
Artist Notes: Windmill Island and Holland in general is very known for their spring festivities known as "Tulip Time", where tulips spring up everywhere in the city and celebrations occur in May (typically when tulips are at their peak bloom time in Michigan). However, the landscaping and gardening crews continue to work through the year to keep landmarks such as Windmill Island in peak shape for visitors. My reference for this piece was actually from a fall Tulip Time artisan market event I was a part of in early October 2021. Like your typical Michigan fall, the weather toyed with us, giving us rain and cold in the morning and bright warmth in the afternoon. The phlox and lavendar were prominant and still holding onto the last bits of summer. I wanted to capture this unique angle, where it almost appears like the flowers are serenading the windmill.

As with all original artwork, each piece is unique and not without flaws. Photos cannot capture every detail and colors or details might differ slightly from the photographed version.
